Complaints are reports from owners of this model year, not findings about any particular vehicle, and a model that sold in large numbers will collect more of them. They are counted here as filed; nothing is inferred from them.

Recall campaigns 4 of 4

22V8090002022-10-27

EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL

The left and/or right brackets can fail, allowing the stokes basket to fall and increasing the risk of injury.

16V9230002016-12-22

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY

The interference may result in possible starter motor failure or an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

16V5850002016-08-05

POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION

If the power output cannot be changed, once the fire truck arrives at the scene, it may not be able to pump water to aid in extinguishing the fire, increasing the risk of injury.

16V1230002016-03-02

POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DRIVESHAFT

If the cap was not properly tightened, the cap may detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard. Additionally, the universal joint may separate and the vehicle may not be able to be driven, increasing the risk of a crash.

This page is about a model, not a car

Two 2016 PIERCE DASH CFs can have entirely different histories, and a recall campaign usually covers a build-date window rather than a whole model year — which a VIN does not encode, so only the door-jamb label settles it. Scanning the VIN adds the decode, the crash tests, the fuel economy and the complaints matched to that exact engine, trim and assembly plant.
