Complaints are reports from owners of this model year, not findings about any particular vehicle, and a model that sold in large numbers will collect more of them. They are counted here as filed; nothing is inferred from them.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCH

Corrosion to the secondary latch may cause it to bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed. If the primary latch is inadvertently released again and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

18V9150002018-12-19

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH

If the rear passenger door opens while the vehicle is moving, the rear passengers have an increased risk of injury.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH

If the rear passenger doors inadvertently open while the vehicle is in motion, it may increase the risk of injury to the rear passengers.

This page is about a model, not a car

Two 2017 NISSAN ALTIMAs can have entirely different histories, and a recall campaign usually covers a build-date window rather than a whole model year — which a VIN does not encode, so only the door-jamb label settles it. Scanning the VIN adds the decode, the crash tests, the fuel economy and the complaints matched to that exact engine, trim and assembly plant.
