Complaints are reports from owners of this model year, not findings about any particular vehicle, and a model that sold in large numbers will collect more of them. They are counted here as filed; nothing is inferred from them.

Recall campaigns 3 of 3

22V1650002022-03-17

VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER:MOTOR

Inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility in certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

22V1370002022-03-08

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS

The bright reflection may cause a glare for other drivers, reducing their visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

15V6660002015-10-16

AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW

In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of one or both of the side impact air bags, the air bag's inflator may rupture and the air bag may not properly inflate. The rupture could cause metal fragments to strike the vehicle occupants, potentially resulting in serious injury or death. Additionally, if the air bag does not properly inflate, the driver or passenger is at an increased risk of injury.

Two 2015 GMC TERRAINs can have entirely different histories, and a recall campaign usually covers a build-date window rather than a whole model year — which a VIN does not encode, so only the door-jamb label settles it. Scanning the VIN adds the decode, the crash tests, the fuel economy and the complaints matched to that exact engine, trim and assembly plant.
